The records of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg, Pa., consist of 2 Reels. Reel 1 includes three Record Books - 1863-1906 (in German); 1906-1946 (partially in German); and 1947-1989. The books list baptisms, confirmations, communicants, marriages, and deaths. The 1947-1989 record book also gives the church's constitution and by-laws. Programs from their 50th anniversary (1913, written in German) and their 100th anniversary (1963) both contain a history of the church. Reel 2 consists of an English transcription of the the Record Book 1863-1906.
